The Cutest Force User in the Galaxy: "The Child" Art Print

As artists and fans of "The Mandalorian," we were inspired to create our own digital artwork featuring The Child, also known as Grogu, after rewatching season one of the show (We’re not going to mention how many times we’ve rewatched it). The character has such an adorable and endearing quality that we knew we had to try our hand at depicting him in our own style.

We started the process by sketching out a rough version of The Child to get familiar with the character and proportions we wanted to use.  

Once we felt good about the little guy, we placed him in his hover pram.  We wanted to capture his cute and adorable appearance, as well as the futuristic design of the hover pram. From there, we began to add more details to the sketch, refining the lines and shapes to create a more polished image.
Next, we moved on to cleaning up the sketch, only keeping the lines we liked and omitting the rest.

Then, we carefully painted in the various elements of the artwork, paying close attention to the details and color combinations. We wanted to create a cartoony, yet lifelike depiction of The Child, so we took care to make sure his skin looked soft and realistic and his eyes sparkled with life.

Finally, we added the finishing touches to the artwork, such as the shadows and any additional details. Once we were satisfied with the final result, we posted on all our Socials.

Overall, creating “The Child” in his hover pram was a fun and rewarding process. As fans of "The Mandalorian," it was exciting to bring our own interpretation of the beloved character to life, and we hope that others will enjoy it as much as we do.
